As motorcyclists we are privileged in many ways, for example we are to be able to afford the luxury of a motorbike and all that goes along with it – unfortunately there are many that cannot afford even the basic necessities in life. As the founder of the Road-Apples, I thought that as a group we should be able to help the less fortunate people in our community and around the world. Although there are local charities to support that are very worthy causes I believe that supporting a more global organization such as UNICEF would be a great way to not only help others (locally and internationally) but also show that we as motorcyclists, care about the world we ride in; what a great way to break the stereotypical “biker” image.
I have been in contact with UNICEF Canada and am proud to announce that we are now a proud partner of UNICEF Canada. As their logo states : For every child Health, Education, Equality, Protection. I cannot see a more noble a way of helping this world than to help children.
I ask that you donate what you can, I will gladly post your name and amount, as it is something to be proud of – and may promote others to help out too - else your generosity can remain anonymous; the decision is entirely yours.
